• Brochure ware and product search facility.
     
• Buying and selling on the net. Payment done outside the net.
     
• Buying and selling done on the net. Payment also done on the net. 

  B2B : Business to Business e-commerce is the e-market place where bulk of action is concentrated.  Companies would certainly like to procure their inputs using hubs and exchanges of e-commerce place on the net.

   B2C : Business to Consumer e-market has responded in select segments such as books, computers, airline bookings etc. In other areas the models are still evolving. Market pundits foresee shake out, mergers and  consolidation in this area.  

  Challenges : E-Commerce causes  dis-intermediation within the  existing channels of distribution and consequent conflict. This will need to be managed.
